Having a blog or website and not getting any web traffic is a nightmare for every Internet Marketers. One of the ways to increase web traffic is to participate in discussion forums. A forum is a public pr assembly for open discussion and everybody can participate.
Getting lots of web traffic is good but it will be even better if the traffics are highly targeted. It won’t help my business when I am getting web traffic that is looking for dog food on my make money easy online blog.
To start, search for a forum that is related to your niche. There are probably many out there and the easiest way to find one is using your favorite search engine. Type in the search box your niche, plus sign(+) and forum like this, dog food+forum.
Look through your searches and join the forum that relates best to your niche. One of the criteria is to ensure that the forum is enjoying high web traffic. This can be easily verified by going to Alexa. On the right hand side of the website, type in the URL of the forum that you intend to join and hit the “Go” button.
Alexa will show the web traffic detail by giving it a value of the website you have requested. Websites that are enjoying high traffic will be assigned a low value. Newly created website with little content will be assigned a value above 5 millions. Google.com is assigned with a value “2”.
Any website that is assigned a value below 100 is definitely enjoying increase web traffic and you should try your luck here. Registering for an account is usually hassle free. A valid email account and your name is often the basic requirement.
Once your account is created, go straight into your personal profile and usually it can be found on the top left corner of the website. In your signature box, place the keyword that you would like to target as anchor text. Importance of anchor text link is explained in my previous post for your reading.
Finally it is time to make some post and comments on the forum. A word of caution. Do not post your comment for the sake of getting your signature with your anchor text link shown. All postings on the forum are moderated and they can detect your intention very soon.
Instead be truthful with your comment. Always make friends and praise the post for sharing invaluable information. However some forums do have minimum postings before your signature will be shown.
Constant forum participation is required. You will be surprised on how much you can learn in a forum and with constant posting, other forum members will visit your blog or website via your anchor text link in your signature. Enjoy the increase in web traffic from forum!
