The algorithm of the search engines is also very sophisticated. Acquiring backlink is a natural process and being natural, it needs to be gradual as well. Therefore suddenly getting a bunch of backlinks with diverse interest will probably trigger the alarm bell of the search engines that you are engaging in a link exchange program.
How to get a backlink should not be a difficult process and you should never consider in short changing yourself by not getting the best possible to your website!
