Keyword Research Is Fundamental To Online Success

If you have been online for awhile, you would probably have heard this word, Niche. It can be best explained as being in a distinct segment of a market. The population on the Internet is ever-growing, that is why it is important to secure your Niche as soon as possible!

There are many reasons for a website to rank well with the search engines and it is beyond this post to discuss. However one of the reasons to rank well with the search engines is the age of your website. Once you have identified your Niche, it is wise to make a claim for the business online.

Am sure by now you would have realized that the benefits to have a business presence online are very lucrative and that is why you are here to learn more. Online business operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week! Can any other business model beat it? This single benefit is probably one of the reasons for the population boom on the Internet.

Now let’s get back to the topic proper. There are too many websites on the Internet and most of these are already very established since they saw the benefits much earlier than us. To be in the business, you must look for your Niche within your business.

If you are trying to sell computers online, you have to identify a smaller section of the business within this computer market. Instead of trying to sell computers which are too broad and generic, you can consider selling either computer tables, computer printers, computer hard disk or memory ram in computer. I am sure you are getting the picture.

Are you cracking your head to think of what other possible products are related to computer? Fear not, help is here. The beauty of online business is that the most of the guess work is taken out. You just have to search for it and with some luck, it will be found.

Since 80% of the searches are conducted on Google, using Google Adwords Tool is a very wise decision. Furthermore it is free!

Type in the niche market you wish to target and hit “Get Keyword Ideas”. Click on the “Approx Search Volume” to sort in descending order with the highest searches on the top. With high searches it is also accompanied with high competition. If you are just starting out on Internet Marketing, pick a niche that is below 100k searches a month.

Honestly I will suggest you pick a niche lower than 50k as well. I would rather you get few visitors instead of no visitors every day on a competitive niche. For more keywords that are related with niche, you can try Keyword Elite which I am using.
