As an Internet Marketers, it is a MUST for us to be in the front line of technology development. Making money on the Internet is very real! Look at how much Google paid for www.youtube.com and recently it was rumoured that Google is buying Twitter as well! For all we know, it might be a foregone conclusion.
When Internet started, I was already managing a bulletin board whereby everybody was contributing like crazy so as to earn enough points to download free software. At that point of time, I could not understand how it was possible to communicate with somebody at the other side of the globe when I do not have his or her hand phone number.
Unfortunately there were not many books for me to read up on. I must sum it as my ill fortune that I could not lay my hands on a good book. It was very frustrating for me at the point of time because every now and then, local media will sensationalized about it.
Not sure if you are aware, if you have immersed yourself with Internet and squat on a URL of a big corporation, the corporation will have to buy back the URL so as to protect the image of the company. Fortunately some policy enforcement was carried out and it is now illegal to squat on a URL which you have no business or linkage to it.
I am blogging about make money easy online. Just to share, www.sex.com is the most expensive domain name to be transacted. Can you imagine if you have been following technology and bought this domain name? Your daily expenses will be taken care of for a long while. Can’t help you much but I think social media marketing is going to be a big technology to be in. If you are already proficient in that field, I can foresee that your future is very bright.

I enjoyed reading your post. I see many people in the IT field picking up internet marketing as their small time career. Internet marketing is growing slowly in the society.
